Hi I'm Tim. I'm a futurist. I identify trends and help organisations adapt to a changing world...
I am Director of Longhurst Research, a boutique consultancy firm; and Director of Strategy for Getup, Australia's largest political organisation.
As an advisor, much of my work has involved exploring trends with some of the world's most recognised organisations, including Nokia, Unilever, Vodafone and Fuji Xerox.
As a speaker, my aim is to inspire my audience to become innovators in their fields. The examples and case studies I use are current and practical. They are often fun, too.
As a speaker I have won over boardrooms full of straighties in suits, university halls full of idealistic youth and conference centres bursting at the seams with CEOs. I have fun on stage and my clients tell me that I bring important topics to life.
I am a member of the World Futures Society and am an Associate Member of the National Speakers Association Australia. In fact, the NSAA called me their NSW "Speaker Idol" for 2009! :D
As a professional speaker, I am committed to the NSAA Code of Professional Conduct.
My blog is loaded full of case studies, stories and anecdotes. When clients or audiences request more info on a topic, I generally try and post the info to my blog to widen the conversation. About 500 people visit the blog weekly.
