I’ve just been reading an article from San Francisco about a group called Compact.
They’re a group of professionals who have decided that ‘recycling isn’t enough’, and they’ve made a commitment to shop local, eat fresh and wherever possible make do.
“It sounds marvelous. It’s a wonderful example for all of us,” said [Peter] Sealey, a former chief of marketing at Coca-Cola and Columbia Pictures. “It’s a crystal-clear statement about what can be done to get us away from being a disposable society.”
